Every Word

Proverbs 15:1
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Every word that comes from our mouth could make a difference in somebodies life.
I've been working on that a lot lately because I have a lot of trouble responding to my little sister kindly. It's especially hard when you are sisters to not get angry with each other, but that is the perfect practice ground.

God gave us our family's for that very reason.
He will give you someone, like a little sister, who you can practice with,
because some people won't be so forgiving.

Don't ever think that God placed a sibling in your life just to drive you crazy and make life hard.
I used to think that often. I used to say, "Oh she makes me crazy! Why did God make her my sister! Why couldn't she be -- sister."
Well the answer is this; I used to say why can't she be so and so's sister because that person was patient! Well, they have other struggles and there is something in their life that is their battlefield.

If we practice patients with our family, it will be much easier to practice it on others.
But remember that every word that comes from your mouth could make a difference.

Patience--that is a hard one for me. I have trouble with this and need to do better.

Me too. I have to say I'm not very patient with Elaina, but I'm working on it! :) -Andrea
